Eligibility Criteria

8B offers scholarships and fair, non-cosigner loans to new and continuing African students studying abroad.

Borrower Eligibility Criteria

Must be at least 18 years of age, or 17 years of age with a cosigner.
Enrolled full-time in an eligible field of study at an Eligible School. {We are adding new schools every week. If you do not see your school here, please let us know by joining our waitlist, and we will evaluate it with our criteria}
A citizen of an eligible country on the African continent.
In possession of a valid passport from the country of your citizenship.
Able to provide two reputation references (do not have to be residing in the U.S.).

A co-signer is NOT required for an 8B loan.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be residing in the U.S.
In possession of a valid photo identification.
Able to provide two reputation references (do not have to be residing in the U.S.).
An average ending cash balance of $3,000 USD or more.
