At 8B Education Investments, we understand the financial challenges that come with pursuing a world-class education. Thats why we partnered with Nelnet Bank, who has agreed to originate $30 million in loans in support of our lending program. This is an important part of the $111.6 million in funding commitments from a range of 8B partners who are unified in their commitment to enable world-class education for the next generation of African innovators.

To help accelerate preapproval and a faster loan closing, we recommend that you prepare the following while waiting:

1. Make sure you qualify – To be eligible for our loan program, you must be a citizen of an eligible African country, possess a valid passport, provide two reputable references, have a solid GPA/Academic excellence, have no credit derogatories and plan to attend an eligible university.
2. Gather your documents – We require specific documents to process your loan application, including your passport and verified transcripts, and an offer letter from a US university. We provide visa letters for approved students.
