1 – How to Convert Your Grades Using WES iGPA Calculator

The WES iGPA calculator is a free tool that enables students from countries outside the United States to convert their grades into a US-style GPA (out of 4.0 scale). You may use the WES iGPA calculator to translate either your final high school transcript OR the latest transcript you have obtained from institutions of higher learning such as colleges and universities. Please keep in mind that certain countries are not included in the WES iGPA calculator. If your country of origin is not included in the list, please send us a copy of your transcript for in-house evaluation. Below are the steps to convert your grades into US-style GPA using the WES iGPA calculator.

Step 1: Visit the WES iGPA Calculator Website

Navigate to the WES iGPA Calculator website by typing “WES iGPA Calculator” into your preferred search engine, or visit the following link: https://applications.wes.org/igpa-calculator/

Step 2: Provide Name and Contact Information

Click on “Start Now.”In order to use the iGPA Calculator, you’ll need to provide your contact information so that the results will be shared to your email. You will be asked to provide your first and last name, country of residence, and your email address. 

Step 3: Provide Name of University and Field of Study

Once you have entered your contact information, click on continue. You will be taken to the next page where you will be requested to provide details about your institution and field of study. Please make sure you provide the correct name of your degree (e.g. Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology). Make sure you select the correct name of your university and the country where you studied. Select the number of years you have studied and accept terms and conditions. Then click next. 

Step 4: Enter the Course Details and Grades Attained onto the Calculator

Once you get to the next page, you will be asked to enter the details in your current transcript. These details include the course name, number of credits attained, and the score attained in each course. Please ensure you accurately copy the details in your transcript onto the calculator. 

Step 5: Save your Results as a jpeg or png file

Calculate your iGPA: After inputting all required information, click the “Calculate” button. The iGPA Calculator will display your converted GPA on a 4.0 scale. Please take a screenshot of your results and save the image as a png or jpeg file. These results will be one of the key requirements for students who are looking for financial support from 8B. 

 

2 – How to Convert Your Grades Using Scholaro

 

Step 1: Visit the Scholaro GPA Calculator

Go to the Scholaro website at www.scholaro.com. Click on “GPA Calculator” in the menu bar at the top of the page.

Step 2: Choose your Country and Education Level

Select your country – for example “Kenya” and then choose the relevant education level for the grades you want to convert. 

Step 3: Enter Your Courses and Grades

Scroll down to find the “Enter Your Grades” section. In the “Course Name” field, enter the name of the course. In the “Grade” field, enter the grade you received for that course. If you’re unsure of how to convert your grade, check the grade scale provided on the right side of the page. Continue adding all your courses and grades by clicking the “Add Another Course” button.

Step 4: Calculate Your GPA

Once you’ve entered all your courses and grades, click the “Calculate” button at the bottom of the page. The calculator will convert your grades into the American GPA system and display your GPA score.

Step 6: Save or Print Your Results

If you wish to save or print your results, you can create a free account by clicking on “Save and Print” button. Follow the prompts to register for an account. Once you’ve registered and logged in, you’ll be able to save and print your GPA calculation.
